What a Crazy Life

Wow! School is out, new baby, family reunion, strep throat, Quinton's birthday, baby blessing, and cancer! These are the things that make my life crazy, fun, and never a dull moment. Kennedi is doing great and growing like a weed! She is a great sleeper and loves to be held (lots of brothers and a sister who take care of that)We had a Gordon Hall family reunion that aunt Marilyn put together that was sooo... much fun, it was a cowboy/rodeo theme and all the kids loved dressing up! We were going to bless Kennedi on the 6th of June but I came down with strep throat and was sooo... sick, so we postponed until this last week the 13th. What a great family we have that are so supportive. I love getting together with family! Quinton turned 13 and so now I'm offically a mother of a teenager! He is a good kid and a hard worker who loves to play the trombone. We love him and we're glad he is a part of our family. And my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer on the 4th of June. She is only 32 and has a young family to take care of. She is handling the news fairly well, she is a strong person and I know she will make it through! She will have to do radiation and will stay with my mom and have it here in Idaho, so that means cousins all summer long!! It will be intersting with all kids around all summer but I want to help where I can! Well anyway here are a few pictures of the reunion and Kennedi's blessing. sorry they aren't in order. ENJOY!

Sporting his new paint ball gun.
Kennedi on the quilt that Mckenna designed and made for her!
The kids got a kick out of the rodeo clown Rondo (except his own children)! Aka Adam Hall
The little cousins had a blast playing with each other.
Yes that is Quinton wearing my pink hat. He thought he was pretty funny!

It's a Girl!!!

Yes, we finally got our baby here and what a nice suprise that it is a girl! She arrived on May 8
(5 days after her due date). She weighed 8lbs. 15oz. and was 21 in. long, she now weighs 9lb.s 3 oz., so she is growing just fine. Jeremy called both our parents to tell them but he told them it was a boy for a big tease and because I wanted to see Mckenna's reaction when she found out she had a sister! Needless to say when Mckenna and Carson were told it was a boy they were very upset. So it was alot of fun to see everyones reaction when they got to the hospital and saw that our boy had bows in her hair!
I was really nervous about the whole delivery for about a month, so for all my worries everything went really well and I would say that it was my best experience of all my kids. No medications!! I can't have epidurals or spinal anything so I usually just have medicine in my IV, but this time was different. I had help from a friend, who is an anathesiologist, who had just learned about hypnobirthing. Which is hypnosis and relaxing techniques to help with the pain. It really worked as far as keeping me focused, relaxed, and keeping the pain level where I could deal with it. The midwife thing was also very good despite all my worries there. We are greatful to our Heavenly Father who is in charge and know better than we what is best. I have learned that despite our fears and worries we need to rely and trust in him more that if we are faithful and do what is right he won't give us anything we can't handle and even better he gives us the blessings of our heart. I have prayed and prayed for him to help me with this new adventure of a new baby in our home and that I would be able to handle everything. Thus far he has sent me a very good baby who sleeps 4-5 hours in the night, and hardly makes a peep during the day. She is just so pleasant! I know that she is only 12 days old and things could change, but for now she is doing so good and I am healing faster than I have with any of my other babies. I am indeed greatful for my blessings!

Mckenna is so excited to finally have a sister!

2 hours after her birth with her whole family!

I think she might get her ability to make faces from Suzanne or Kade!

Carson loves holding his baby sister, and she doesn't seem to mind him either!

Update Before the Baby Comes!

I figured I better update my blog before the baby comes and changes the way my life runs right now! A few pictures from Easter weekend. We spent Thursday-Saturday of Easter weekend at my mom's time share condos at Bear Lake with my brother and sister and their families. It was cold and snowy but the kids had a great time swimming in the indoor pool, playing with cousins, coloring easter eggs, and the big Easter egg hunt that we had to do inside because of the blizzard outside! A great time was had by all!!

Quinton and Mckenna are enjoying the new sports that they wanted to try. Quinton is doing track (he hates to run, but whatever) and Mckenna is trying volleyball for the first time. They both seem to really enjoy their sport. Quinton so far has competed in the long jump, high jump, and 100m dash. He was suppose to have another track meet today but was cancelled due to the rain storm we are having. Mckenna is almost done with volleyball, her last tournament is on May 1. They have a young team that has never played before but they have all had fun playing, and that really is what is most important. So here are a few pictures. And the next time I blog hopefully there will be pictures of a baby!

Happy Birthday Kade!

It was Kade's birthday yesturday and he turned 9 yrs. old. It is incredible to me to think that it has been 9 years since this little boy came into our lives and changed us for the better. He is definitely the life of our house and brings so many laughs and smiles. He has taught me about attitude, strength, patience, and unconditional love. This boy has a mile long list of reasons why he could be sad at different times in his life, but he always has a good attitude, is strong, and loves everyone. His teacher told me a couple of weeks ago when I asked how is was handling his broken leg and the crutches, she said "He hasn't slowed down a bit, and it doesn't matter who she puts him by, even the girls, he makes friends with them and continues to talk and entertain!" He is a special boy and we are so thankful he is in our family!

Fun Things We Do

Remember this picture from last year when Jeremy and the boys got the bright idea to ski behind the snowmachine? This is Kade when they were having a blast on the skiis.
This year Quinton and Kade have been able to drive the snowmachines in the backyard/field by themselves and have had alot of fun. Well last weekend they got the skiis out again and were pulling each other. Needless to say this is how I spent last weekend.

Yep, he fell and he turned but his skiis didn't. Sad thing is I really thought he just twisted or sprained his ankle. This happened last Saturday Feb. 6 and we went to BYU-I to see the Peking Acrobats and we kept trying to make hime walk on it. Jeremy and Jerry ended up caring him to and from the building. The next morning, Sunday before church I took him to a Community Care and sure enough it was broken. It is a spiral break up the bone, so he can't put any weight on it. With it being winter I don't want to take any chances of him falling right now so I have to drive him to and from school. He is a good sport, has a high tolerance for pain, and is loving all the attention for now! I give him another week before he is just sick of it, to bad he has to do this for 2 months!!

Here are some other pictures of sleding and having fun in the snow, we went with Ty and Amanda on the Butte about a month ago and had a lot of fun sleding.

Mckenna was not about to get cold!

Holiday Update

I going to mostly post pictures of our holiday and the fun we had together as a family. This year all the Hall's were together and boy did we party. I think by the end of the weekend we were allwasted and ready for some sleep. Like I said in the last post that Christmas Eve we told our children about expecting a baby and so Christmas morning was even more fun, they kept asking questions and we had to explain that it was still a secret until we opened gifts with grandma and grandpa.
Santa brought Coaster Cars

The kids love getting dressed up for the Nativiy. This is Carson and Carter!

The whole group, Quinton was Joseph and Nova was Mary. They all had so much fun that they left their costumes on until they got to hot. Carson put on about 3 different ones. Singing Happy Birthday to Jesus.

Then the next day we spent playing at the gym at the church. Dart Tag, Basketball, Volleyball, and riding the Coaster Cars. Even the big kids liked them.

We had family pictures done by Heather B.'s sister (which I will post when I can get them) but we tried on our own to take a picture of the grandkids. We seem to always wait until the last minute and someone is tired and just not into it. I think this picture is as good as it gets with that many kids.
