Christmas Eve! Are you Ready?!

I was trying to figure out if we should start some traditions of our own and trying to think of something we could do tonight for Christmas. I asked Jeremy what we could start with our family and he said, "Nothing!"
After thinking about this I soon came to realize that if you have a tradition and for some reason one year you can't do it because of other things going on then you might feel bad. So we are doing whatever we want. We don't have anywhere to go or any engagements we have to be to and that in itself makes the kids happy. So we are going to do whatever we want, watch a movie, have some popcorn, or play games.
This summer I bought skiis at a garage sale for all the kids for about $10 a piece, so that when Quinton and Mckenna signed up for the school skii program I wouldn't have to buy rentals everytime. So today the kids were needing something to help the day go by faster. Jeremy took them outside to ride snowmobiles and this is what I find!!
Jeremy was pulling them behind the snowmachine!

Now we can Relax!

Well, the busiest week of the season for the Hall family is finally over and we can finally relax. We had something happening every night of the week and for most of the days also. Started off with the Young Men and Young men meeting at our house to go caroling and treats. We ended up going with them cause when they all started to leave, Kade, Colton, and Carson were not happy they were getting left and there just happened to be room in our car so we all went and it was alot of fun! Wednesday was piano lessons and Quinton's band concert which was fun and the kids liked the music. Thursday was running last minute errands and Quinton's D.A.R.E. graduation with Thurl Bailey. Most people know him for being a NBA basketball star, but in our house we know him for his film deput in On Smooth Stone, a Liken movie about David and Golliath, he of course played Golliath. Quinton took his DVD cover of that movie to have him sign it and he was the only kid there who had this cover, when Quinton handed it to him, Thurl in his deep voice sang "I am Golliath". For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about you need to check these movies out they are all on stories in the Bible and they are dancing and singing and makes the stories fun. Kind of goofy but we love them! You can buy them at Deseret Book. Then we fed the missionaries and then it was off to Pack Meeting for me while the rest of the family stayed home and visited with the Home Teachers. Friday was all the school parties that I was helping with, and the the ward christmas party that night. On Saturday we tried to get some house work done and then had dinner and a Christmas part with my mom at here house since she was leaving to spend Christmas with my sister and her family. Then on Sunday it was Mckenna's violin recital, long but very good. So now the kids are out of school and I am just trying to keep them occupied! Do you ever remember saying to your parents "I'm bored, there's nothing to do around here!" Well right about now I am very sorry to my
parents for ever saying that phrase!!

Merry Christmas everyone We hope the season finds you all Safe, Healthy and Happy!

Every year Aunt Heather does something fun with the kids. It started out as building candy trains, then changed to gingerbread houses with Graham crackers, and this year the kids wanted to do trains again. Here are a few pictures of them and their creations. Sorry Marcie, this was a last minute lets do it today thing!

Ready or Not

Well I've decided that ready or not I am done shopping and want to feel the spirit of the Holiday.

On Dec. 2, Mckenna had her teeth pulled and did pretty well, she only needed pain reliever a few times and went to school the next day. Kade had is procedures done on Dec. 11 and has faired pretty good. He had 4 siver caps put on his molars, 4-5 cavities filled, then they fixed his front tooth that was discolored and scraped away some extra tissue he had. He had this done at the hospital with anesthetic and was under for about 1 1/2 hours. He tried to go to school the next day but ended up calling me at 11:00 needing more pain medicine, but today he has only needed it once so far. Quinton is doing well in school and has shop this trimester and loves it! Colton is getting smarter everyday and even knows how to spell his name now. Carson is my little cowboy, I think I have found my riding partner. All of the kids like horses and like to ride them, but none of them want to wear cowboy shirts, boots, and hats all day and ride their stick horse all day!

I've also decided why I don't blog as often as you all do! I don't take pictures of my kids like I used to with the first few. We are going to make candy trains with Heather today so hopefull I will get those pictures posted and I'm going to try to find some random pictures to post! If any of you are interested in checking out what we did for Thanksgiving with the Hall's check out Suzanne's blog it tells it all very well and I don't have time right now to do it!

Reason's Why I Don't Blog

These are the reason's that my blog is probably alot less intersting than all of yours. And what happened in my life this last week!
1. Monday- No School, all the kids were home today and I had three appointments to be at. The house is totally wrecked. We went to the museum in IF for family night and afterwards took the kids to Leatherby's (a fun ice cream place) that was fun!

2. A visit to the Chiropractor/Message Therapist that lasted 2 1/2 hours followed by Kade and Mckenna's dentist appointment in Idaho Falls. Final result - Kade has to have 4 siler caps put on all 4 molars because they came in without enamel and are breaking down. (this will be done in the hospital Dec. 11) Mckenna has to have 3 teeth extracted on Dec. 3 (Merry Christmas!!)

3. Wednesday - Not a bad day, actually went to the story hour at the library with Colton and Carson! House is still a disaster.

4. Thursday - Had a good visit with Ty & Amanda followed by a trip to town for groceries, getting pulled over for speeding and Colton asking if I was going to jail, violin lessons, home teaching with Jeremy for 20 min. and next off to Pack Meeting!

5. Friday - Kade had an appointment with Dr. Morales in Idaho Falls followed by a few errands. The doctor said it is looking like Kade will have to undergo a surgery in the future that entails having a halo (piece of metal screwed into his skull that will help is bite, long story) Good news is I have time to do some research and hopefully find another alternative to this operation. Keep him in your prayers! And now instead of watching TV with Jeremy I am writing on this blog.

6. I do have pictures to download that I took last weekend of the kids doing their work outside and have fun at the same time but my camera is in the car and after my week I am too lazy to go get it. My house is really really bad destroyed!!!

I hope you enjoy reading the boring blog and hopefully I will have more energy to get the pictures downloaded soon.
